The Information Security and Technology Service Center of Hebei University of Technology was formerly a network center. It was established in September 1996 to undertake the task of "campus computer network system" in the school's "211 Project" construction project, and is affiliated to the library. In 2006, it became a network management center independently. In 2013, an internal campus card management service center was added. In 2016, it was changed to the Information Security and Technology Service Center.

The center currently has 15 faculty and staff, including 5 with associate senior titles or above. There are 3 departments under the comprehensive service department, data management and information service department, and network construction and operation department. Mainly responsible for the strategic planning of school informatization development, undertaking school informatization construction projects, campus information infrastructure construction and operation, campus network and information security assurance, and campus card business management services.

The center will closely focus on the school’s “double first-class” construction work, with teachers and students as the center, service as the core, smart operation and maintenance as the starting point, and platform as the enablement, establish and improve the sustainable development mechanism of informatization, and insist on informatization and The in-depth integration of talent training, scientific research, and management services will continue to promote the construction of smart campuses, and serve for the comprehensive improvement of school governance efficiency and smart transformation and development.
